Replace, co-written by Richard Stanley, gets new trailer and October release

It has been almost three years since Entertainment Weekly hosted the premiere of a trailer for director Norbert Keil's body horror tale REPLACE, but we won't have to wait much longer to see this movie. Uncork'd Entertainment has announced that they will be releasing REPLACE on DVD and VOD on October 1st.

Along with this announcement comes the release of a new trailer, which is embedded below.

Written by Keil and HARDWARE / DUST DEVIL director Richard Stanley, REPLACE has the following synopsis:

How far would you go to live forever?
 
Afflicted with a dermatological disease, young and beautiful Kira discovers that she can replace her skin with that of other girls. Helped by her lover, she plots a murder and the victim becomes her donor, but when the disease returns, she is forced to find more victims.

I was sold on watching this movie as soon as I heard that Stanley was involved, and my interest is boosted even further by the fact that genre icon Barbara Crampton is in the cast. Crampton's co-stars include Rebecca Forsythe, Lucie Aron, and Sean Knopp.

And it gets even better, because judging by the trailer it looks like this is going to be a dazzling mind-bender. REPLACE is sitting high on my "must see" list.
