Trailer for new Full Moon movie unleashes the Weedjies on Halloweed Night

Earlier this year, Full Moon announced that they were embarking on "a bold new experiment in interactive feature filmmaking" by live streaming the filming of ten new movies on the website DeadlyTen.com. The first of the "Deadly Ten" to go into production was director Danny Draven's WEEDJIES! HALLOWEED NIGHT (formerly known as HALLOWEED NIGHT: MEET THE WEEDJIES), and every minute of the production was streamed live on the internet.

The original plan was to release all ten Deadly Ten productions in February, but that plan has changed, and it doesn't look like all ten will be ready by February anyway. But the shake-up in the release schedule is a good thing, because that means HALLOWEED is being released just in time for Halloween. 

WEEDJIES! HALLOWEED NIGHT will be available to watch exclusively through the Full Moon Features Channel and App, and Full Moon's Amazon Prime channel, as of October 21st.

Produced by Full Moon founder Charles Band, this film is described as being a "wacky, weed-choked nod" to the '80s classic GHOULIES, which was released by Band's old company Empire Pictures. Basically, it's "GHOULIES GO TO VEGAS", but instead of having Ghoulies it will be introducing us to a whole new bunch of tiny terrors.

WEEDJIES! was written by Shane Bitterling and has the following synopsis: 

It’s the eve of Halloween in Las Vegas and three enterprising young ladies are throwing a massive 420 gala. But little do they know, they’re also going to unleash a freakish gaggle of party-loving nightmare-creatures from beyond! When a midnight scavenger hunt for a rare bud of weed known as the "Golden Nug" brings a group of party-hungry stoners to a haunted hotel, it seems like it’ll be the greatest night ever. But when the enigmatic owner, Madam Haze, introduces them to the Weed-G-Board, they open a portal beyond our world, and unleash The Weedjies! This group of ghastly hysterical creatures has only one mission: Party ‘till you die. Before Halloween night is over, the unwitting guests will have to fight for their right to party, and put The Weedgies back in the board – or end up sucked into the netherworld forever!

The cast includes The Howard Stern Show's Richard Christy and Medicated Pete, comedian Ester Goldberg, Instagram model Misty Mason, EVIL BONG franchise veteran Mindy Robinson, Playboy superstar Bridget Marquardt, and internet film critic Shawn "Cool Duder" Phillips. The Weedjies themselves were created by FX wizard Tom Devlin.

I've been a dedicated Full Moon fan since I was a kid, so I will be watching all of the Deadly Ten movies and look forward to watching WEEDJIES! next week.
