Well, it looks like DEEP RED and SUSPIRIA director Dario Argento will not only be helming an all-new Giallo flick this year, but it will reteam he master of horror with his daughter and THE STENDHAL SYNDROME and MOTHER OF TEARS actress Asia Argento!
The new movie is called BLACK GLASSES … and that's really all we know at this point.
But the fact that the film will be a new Giallo directed by Dario Argento and starring Asia Argento is MORE than enough to make this here horror movie fan stand up and take notice! How about you? Make sure to hit us up and let us know what you think!
Their last flick together was (unfortunately) DRACULA 3D. Rated R for crude and sexual content, language throughout, some drug use and brief graphic nudity, the film marked the return of Argento with a bloody, luridly creepy 3D version of the classic vampire tale, drenched in gore and sex.
More specifically, it centered on
an unsuspecting Englishman who arrives in Transylvania, lured by a job with a local nobleman. But the undead Count Dracula's real target is the man's innocent young wife.
It starred Thomas Kretschmann (KING KONG) as Dracula, Rutger Hauer (BLADE RUNNER) as Abraham Van Helsing, Marta Gastini as Mina, Asia Argento as Lucy Kisslinger, Unax Ugalde as Jonathan Harker, Miriam Giovanelli as Tania, and Giovanni Franzoni as Renfield.
