Back in February, Nevermore Productions released an incredibly cool, '80s-style trailer for writer/director Justin M. Seaman's THE BARN, an indie horror film that "parties like it's 1989". That trailer focused on introducing the teenagers that discover the terrifying truth about the legend of The Barn, and Nevermore has now released a second trailer that introduces the slashers at the center of that legend.
The second trailer utilizes the same sort of retro style as the first did, and the music and the imagery here are hitting all the right buttons to make me want to watch THE BARN as soon as possible. If you love '80s horror like I do, this trailer may be one of the coolest genre trailers you've seen in a while.
With a cast including Mitchell Musolino, Will Stout, Lexi Dripps, Cortland Woodard, Nikki Darling, Nickolaus Joshua, Ryan Nogy, David Hampton, FLESHEATER's Richard Billock, and FRIDAY THE 13TH 1980's Ari Lehman, THE BARN tells the following story:
Its Halloween 1989, best friends Sam and Josh are trying to enjoy what’s left of their final Devil’s Night before graduating high school. But trouble arises when the two pals and a group of friends take a detour on their way to a rock concert, finding an old abandoned barn and awakening the evil inside. Now it’s up to Sam and Josh to find a way to protect their friends and defeat the creatures that lurk within “The Barn”.
The evil creatures they awaken are called Hallowed Jack, Candycorn Scarecrow, and The Boogeyman. To meet them, click play on the trailer below and bask in the retro awesomeness.
