It's been cool seeing the Groundhog's Day-esque "time loop" conceit turn into a legit subgenre, with the action movie version Edge of Tomorrow, and the recent rom-com version Palm Springs being good recent examples. And while Happy Death Day was a great horror-comedy version of a "time loop" film, the upcoming indie 6:45 seems to be a much more sobering and thrilling version, which could be really exciting!
In the meantime, the film has released a new "holiday" trailer, which you can watch at the top of the article! Below is the official synopsis:
In this heart-racing psychological thriller, we are introduced to Bobby Patterson who is taking one last romantic shot at saving his rocky relationship with his girlfriend Jules Rables on a weekend getaway. The couple arrives for a vacation in the quiet island resort called "Bog Grove." To their bewilderment, the sleepy beach town is curiously deserted and they quickly learn about its deadly history that's about to repeat itself. Bobby’s struggles with Jules are cast aside in order to overcome a dementing cycle of terror that transpires. No matter what he does to try to avoid it, he and his girlfriend wake up at 6:45 each morning to the same nightmarish chain of events that lead to them being viciously murdered with no chance of escape. 6:45 was directed by Craig Singer and stars Michael Reed, Augie Duke, Thomas Waites, Armen Garo, Ray Mancini, The 45 King, and Remy Ma.
Currently, 6:45 – directed by Craig Singer and starring Thomas G. Waites, Augie Duke, and Armen Garo – doesn't have an official release date, but we'll keep you updated!
