We're just three days away from what I consider to be the biggest horror event of the year, the premiere of the Creepshow series on the Shudder streaming service. A return to the world created by George A. Romero and Stephen King with the anthology films CREEPSHOW and CREEPSHOW 2, Creepshow reaches Shudder this Thursday, September 26th.
In anticipation of the show's premiere, a featurette has arrived online to give us a 6 minute peek behind the scenes. In the video embedded below, directors Greg Nictero (who is also the show's creative supervisor), Rob Schrab, Roxanne Benjamin, and David Bruckner, as well as writers David J. Schow and Joe Hill, discuss their contributions to the show – and the best thing about it all is that their talking head interviews are intercut with footage from several of the show's episodes, so this serves as a nice preview of what's to come.
The first season of Creepshow will consist of six episodes, each one split into two different segments. Here's the full list of stories that will be told over the course of the season:
“Gray Matter”

An unhappy man discovers a severed, inhuman appendage on the street and brings it home, where it grows into a loyal companion with some deadly quirks.
The stories told in the first episode are Gray Matter and The House of the Head. Our own Alex Maidy has seen that episode and gave it an 8/10 review.
Episodes of Creepshow will be released on Shudder every week on Thursdays, building up to the season finale on Halloween, October 31st.
Cast members include Giancarlo Esposito, Tobin Bell, Adrienne Barbeau, Cailey Fleming, Jeffrey Combs, Kid Cudi, Big Boi, Bruce Davison, Dana Gould, David Arquette, Tricia Helfer, and DJ Qualls.
