I've loved MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000 – the show where a guy and two robots make fun of bad movies – for as long as I can remember. I've said it before, but this airing on Sci-Fi channel (before that SyFy bullshit) early on Saturdays was the only reason I'd wake up in the morning as a kid growing up in the '90s. Hell, my friends and I quote the shows all the time (for instance, everytime I go hiking, at some point – without fail – I'll yell out in a muffled voice "watch out for snakes" from the MST3k episode EEGAH! It's Pavlovian.)
So like most fans, while there's some trepidation, I can't wait for the new season premiering on Netflix next month with Jonah Ray at the helm. But to help whet our appetites, Netflix has released twenty fan-favorite episodes to stream (after pulling them before). And here's the full list:
Catalina Caper
Eegah!
Future War
The Giant Gila Monster
Hercules Against The Moon Men
Horrors Of Spider Island
I Accuse My Parents
Jack Frost
Laserblast
Manos: The Hands Of Fate
Merlin’s Shop Of Mystical Wonders
Pod People
Puma Man
Santa Claus Conquers The Martians
Sidehackers
Space Mutiny
Teenagers From Outer Space
Time Chasers
Werewolf
Zombie Nightmare
Awesome line-up! PUMAMAN is my personal favorite ("Heeelp! I'm falling at a sixty degree angle breaking all the laws of physics!"), and of course MANOS: THE HANDS OF FATE is a classic ("every frame looks like someone's last known photograph"). I, for one, can't wait for season 11 of MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000, but this should hold me over 'til then.
So any of you Schmoes also MST-ies? And if so, what's your favorite episode? And is it on this list?Sound off below!
