2.8 million people watched Netflix’s The Cloverfield Paradox in first 3 days

While word of mouth regarding Netflix's new CLOVERFIELD film THE CLOVERFIELD PARADOX hasn't been the best (I didn't care for it myself) that didn't stop millions of people from watching the flick post-Super Bowl as Netflix has just released the movie's streaming numbers. Turns out that 2.8 million people viewed THE CLOVERFIELD PARADOX in its first three days and a total of 5 million viewers over the film's first seven days in release.

Not bad. That said, you could compare those numbers to the whopping 11 million people that viewed David Ayers' BRIGHT starring Will Smith and Joel Edgerton in its first three days. But is that fair? Synopsis:

The story, set in the near future, centers on a team of astronauts on a space station making a terrifying discovery that challenges all they know about the fabric of reality, as they desperately fight for their survival.

The film is directed by Julius Onah from a screenplay by Oren Uziel and Doug Jung. The film stars David Oyelowo, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Ziyi Zhang, Elizabeth Debicki, Daniel Brühl, and Chris O’Dowd.
