Have you ever wanted to host a sleepover in Jake and Finn’s treehouse from ADVENTURE TIME? Would you like to play video games in the Watterson's living room while chilling out in THE AMAZING WORLD OF GUMBALL? You would? Well then you're in luck, my friends, because Turner’s Cartoon Network and Palace Entertainment are partnering up to welcome you to the Cartoon Network Hotel – a premiere family lodging experience in Central Pennsylvania that includes 165 rooms based on your favorite Cartoon Network properties!
Located on a nine-acre plot in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, the Cartoon Network Hotel will be adjacent to the Dutch Wonderland Amusement Park, a veritable playground filled with more than 35 rides, attractions and shows. Upon arriving at the new and ambitious lodging establishment, guests will experience rooms and common areas modeled after iconic locales from animated programs like ADVENTURE TIME, WE CARE BEARS, POWERPUFF GIRLS, STEVEN UNIVERSE, THE AMAZING WORLD OF GUMBALL, SAMURAI JACK, BEN 10, DEXTER'S LABORATORY and much, much more! As a part of the hotel's programming pitch, patrons have been promised that they'll “enjoy bacon pancakes made by Jake from ADVENTURE TIME” and will be enticed to “Let Ice Bear make you a latte.” Moreover, guest rooms and suites will boast “interchangeable show theming that can be customized around children’s preferences to make each visit a new adventure.”
As if that's not enough to have you stepping over people for a reservation, the hotel will include an outdoor amphitheater (which will be the screening site for world premieres of new animated productions) and a resort-style swimming pool and water-fun zone where youngsters can cavort under the watchful eye of Gunter the Penguin Lifeguard. Summercamp Island will be an area for fire-pit gatherings and lawn-game competitions. In-door amenities include an indoor pool, an indoor arcade, a kids play area, a coffee lounge, a wine bar and Cartoon Network store. (via Deadline)
“With just the right mix of technology, design and animation, we’re aiming to bring our characters to life in a way that we haven’t seen done before”, said Christina Miller, president of the Cartoon Network-Adult Swim-Boomerang banner. “We can’t wait to be part of many family vacations with the ultimate Cartoon Network experience.”
“This is going to be a game changer,” said Palace Entertainment COO Rolf Paegert. “With sleek contemporary designs that parents will appreciate and Easter egg type surprises for kids throughout the resort, the entire family will love this place. Cartoon Network’s stories and themes appeal to everyone in a fun whimsical way.”
The Cartoon Network Hotel plans to let its doors swing wide and welcome guests to stay in unique worlds beginning in Summer 2019.
