The John Cusack horror vehicle 1408 has launched its official website, and you go check it out by going
HERE. It’s pretty cool, as you can find the trailer, synopsis, and a butt-load of pictures from the film there.
The film is directed by Mikael Håfström and is based on the Stephen King short story of the same name. The plot for 1408 follows supernatural writer Mike Enslin, an author of two hit books focusing on supernatural phenomena. As research for his latest book, Enslin is determined to check out the notorious room 1408 in a New York City hotel by personally staying as a guest in the fabled room. Enslin is sure that 1408 is just a myth whose legend has grown over time, and he checks into the room despite strong objections from the hotel manager (Samuel Jackson). Of course over time, Enslin realizes that 1408 is no myth, and the horrors that await him are very, very real.
I think it’s kinda funny that King wrote this story, considering that he also wrote THE SHINING, which has a similar plot.
