My Spanish is about as good as my Sharkticon so I don’t want to vouch for this information. But if our source is to be believed (and there’s no reason for it not to be), Rachel Weisz is about to star in Alejandro Amenábar’s (THE OTHERS) next film, which has still to receive a title. We got an email from Las Horas Perdidas, from whence the intel comes, saying that “Oscar Isaac (THE NATIVITY STORY) will play a slave in the begining of de christianism who becomes christian in search of his freedom. Weisz will be representing the role of Hypatia, his mistress, an atheistic philosopher.” Savvy? I’m not entirely sure I understand what that means, but anything with Rachel Weisz is worth your time. The film will reportedly carry a $70 million budget and aim for a 2009 release.
