Transformers 2 updates

First up, turns out Rachael Taylor won’t be back for the sequel. Moviehole caught up with her today:

“I wasn’t contracted for a sequel anyway, but I also think it would be pretty ridiculous for my character just to show up and say ‘We’ve got some more computers to play with!… More importantly, I don’t think I’d wanna do it to be honest, and not for any particular reason other than the fact that I’ve done it. I’m just drawn to doing different things. I want to be able to mix it up all the time.”

Secondly, through Cinematical, it appears TRANSFORMERS 2 might just be going 3-D. Comics2Film have noticed that the movie is listed in the Dolby News release for ShoWest 2008 as one of the films being fitted for 3-D.

Of course, this might be more disinformation from the Michael Bay camp. I’m not sure what he thinks he’s working on, but someone should probably tell him it’s just a fun Summer movie and not United States military protocol for hostage negotiation.
