We were the first to tell you about a possible remake of the 80s horror treat THE GATE, and while our report wasn't completely accurate, there's still more backyard hellspawn on the way.
H20 Motion Pictures is making THE GATE: 20 YEARS LATER. As we originally claimed, Oscar-winning FX guru Randall William Cook (LOTR, KING KONG) will direct the project which, as you might guess, takes place two decades after the first one (I'll assume it ignores the sequel THE GATE II: TRESPASSERS). Will Stephen Dorff also be back to battle tiny michievous demon dudes?
The original 1987 flick starred young Dorff as a suburban kid who finds a portal to hell in his backyard spitting out monsters, which is what happens when you listen to the devil's music. Check out a little taste of the stop-motion creature delights
