Terminator breakdown Jul. 23, 2008
Source: io9
by: Dave Davis

No, the metal bastards haven't experienced power failure -- Things are still slowly progressing on McG's man versus machine opus TERMINATOR SALVATION, and while solid information and photographic evidence have been scarce, that doesn't mean we can't scrutinize what's been presented!

Over at io9.com, they've taken a hard look at the teaser trailer and offered their impressions and hypotheses as to just who/what those human-hunting and (occasionally) flesh-wearing metal monsters might be. According to them, the all-too-brief teaser features glimpses of Skynet's "Harvester", "Hydrobot", and the chunkier precursor to Arnie's model of cyborg.

More juicy bits should be spilling forth after this week's Comic Con. For now, see what you make of it RIGHT HERE!

Thanks to 'Meister Evo' for the heads up!

NO HARD FEELINGS
I agree that it might be a good idea to hold off until all of the facts come out.

But, I have to contend with my wife watching all of that trashy shit on E! and reading about it in her taloids. When she asks me what my websites are saying about it and I have to tell her that Joblo hasn't mentioned it, she laughs at the site. It seems to her like they don't even know about it. They should at least post a story and say "here's what we know, we'll keep you updated."

But, I agree with you alexskelton, I certainly don't want a "Bale Arrest Watch 2008" or anything like that. Just something to let us know that they're on top of it and will sort out the fact from fiction.

I also, apologize to everyone else for turning this thread about the Terminator teaser into a rant...but there's nowhere else to post it. At least Christian Bale is in this movie. I want him out there and filming it so we can get another teaser or a full trailer for this movie.

fair enough, you made some good points there. everything i have read about the situation has been wild speculation, so i guess joblo is waiting till the facts are out there? i am glad they arent constantly updating headlines and acting like this is as big a story as the huge TDK opening.
i agree that if this incident affects the terminator shoot that it should be reported on, but for now there just isnt anything really concrete to say, so I don't mind at all that they're holding off.

that being said, my apologies for the tmz line lol, nobody with the good taste to be a schmoe should have to read that trash.

ALEXSKELTON...
"go to tmz if you want 'news' like that"?

I don't go to tmz I read Joblo.

"maybe this website has class."

They do stories about Shia Lebeouf getting arrested in a Walgreens in Chicago. Wesley Snipes going to jail for tax related problems.

I know Joblo has class. But when the major star of a record breaking movie gets arrested for anything, no matter how much bullshit is involved, Joblo should run something about it. Especially considering how much hype they've done for the movie before and after.

Besides, they're still filming Terminator now and Bale has to go back to Egland for some legal stuff in September. How is that going to affect Terminator? There are plenty of angles the story can take. Not every website has to take the low road. I'm sorry that you think celebrity news has to always be sleazy...but I think Joblo has proven otherwise.

It's still crazy that the writers on this site haven't even mentioned it. It is news I care about. I hate hearing about it on less reputable news sites and not the getting the Joblo slant.

BALE
Why is JoBlo not writing about Bale's "arrest"? Well let's see... maybe because his estranged mom & sis are now trying to sell the story to tabloids to make some money (what? you mean its not a coincidence this happened on TDK's opening weekend?! say it ain't so!) so why shouldn't joblo add anything to that stupidity and make it a bigger deal than it already is (and shouldn't be)? Well, maybe this website has class. go to tmz if you want "news" like that.

"biggest story in entertainment"?? are you kidding me? a charge of verbal assault that hasn't even been proven, after a guy yells at his circus-performer mom after she insults his wife? the story is either none of our business, and/or mostly bullsh*t.
personally, i dont want joblo to report on garbage like that and to stick to movie news, not tabloid trash.

end of rant haha

DANG...
That T-600 almost made me crap my pants, freakin' disturbing. Regarding Bale's arrest, from what I hear it's BS, just his mom and sis being pissed at him for something. I really hope that is all it is, Bale is one of the few leading men that haven't abandoned his family or gotten caught up in some political or scandalous stuff.

CHRISTIAN BALE...
I can't believe that Joblo hasn't run a story about his arrest yet!!!

I come her to get my movie news and that is one of the biggest stories in entertainment right now.

But...about Terminator...I had my doubts about McG...but he actually might pull this one out.

I thought this was going to be about Christian Bale. Hope he gets some well deserved time off.

They should have left the shot of the T-600 in longer so people could actually catch the damn thing in theatre.

SKYNET = WINDOWS VISTA
The large amount of anti-human sentiment from Vista makes me believe we're all dealing with a primitive form of SkyNet right now. I'll be nicer...I guess.
