YOU READ MY MIND...
...about Singer's fixation. This frustrates me because he was the guy who found nifty ways of inserting politics into popular comic book adaptations to create allegories for our time. He wasn't as smooth with it as others, but the man who made "The Usual Suspects" and THEN went on to do that stuff has untapped potential I would like to see put to use. And since the only comics he's (possibly) working on are nothing near as prominent as X-Men and Superman I'd like him to take a break.
On the flip side, he didn't make the same mistake M. Night Shyamalan made, and try to make every movie as last-minute-twisty as "Suspects." |

anyway, i dont really care what Singer ends up doing, i would like to see a Superman sequel, but i am not holding my breath. i just dont like guys taking on like 20 projects when you know half of them are never going to be made and the other half are on hold until like forever. |

BATTLE EXO-SUITS?
Hello people, doesn't that sound a TAD familiar? Like um, Iron Man?
Don't get me wrong, I love The Singer, I think he's a really talented director. I even thought Supes was great (honestly, give him a break about it already.) But I'm not so sure about this one. |

By the way, I loved X-Men but after more recent viewings I'm not sure it's holding up. It certainly pales in comparison to Dark Knight and even most of the more recent marvel stuff. X2, though, man that film is great. |

I liked Superman Returns a lot and will defend it. But to each his own. I'm not going to say Dark Knight wasn't way better, but Superman Returns was still way above average. But it was a case of the Director making the movie he wanted to make rather than the movie that was expected. |

REMEMER X-MEN, PEOPLE?
Ummm...anyone remember "X-Men" and "X-Men 2"? Those movies were AWESOME! Butn, not only that - it also ushered in the new generation of superhero movies!
Now "Superman Returns" wasn't very good...but a man is allowed a misstep (especially when his intentions were pure, if misguided)
So, people, lay off Singer until "Valkerie", and we'll see if he truly lost his touch or not. |

I threw up in my mouth after I saw the shit-tastic Superman: The Movi-- I mean Superman Returns.
Hopefully he doesn't get overly sentimental with this one too...I like the idea of exobattlesuits. So I guess there's some kinda "chosen one" plot in there? Man...if I had a nickel for how many chosen one plotlines that came out of Hollywood I'd have a SHITload of nickels. |

Was that comment directed at me? 'Cuz if it is, then read my message again. I wasn't dissing SR, but Bryan has already done his obligatory picture between franchise films, so now its time to get back to work and bring us the Superman we've been waiting for.... |

HOW ABOUT YOU STOP NOW...
TDK was awesome, but stop with the Superman bashing, the movie was good and the directing was good. The fact that it was a slower movie that wasnt all explosions and action doesnt make it a bad movie. And just going back to "Kevin Spacey wasnt great" as the only argument is getting old. |
