I know a lot of you schmoes are over the SAW series, but I'm still so totally there. Still, I don't really know how to take the news that the impending bloodfest, SAW IV has been given a NC-17 rating by the MPAA. Still, as is speculated the creative team behind the movie may still go back and make the cuts required to earn their hard R-rating.
Here's the official synopsis for the film for those of you who don't know (SPOILERS FOR SAW 3 ensue):
Upon the news of Detective Kerry's murder, two seasoned FBI profilers, Agent Strahm and Agent Perez, arrive in the terrified community to assist the veteran Detective Hoffman in sifting through Jigsaw's latest grizzly remains and piecing together the puzzle. However, when SWAT Commander Rigg is abducted and thrust into a game, the last officer untouched by Jigsaw has but ninety minutes to overcome a series of demented traps and save an old friend or face the deadly consequences.
I don't know, I'm really looking forward to this flick. The reason I've liked the previous ones has been that the endings have been real mind-blowers. Fortunately, producer Mark Burg had the following to say:
“I think it;’s the best ending of any SAW movie we’ve done yet,”
Rock on!

The will never release it NC-17 cuz that's basically a death trap (no pun intended) for a movie at the box office. And i hope they wouldnt anyway cuz im 16 & then i couldnt see it at all till it was on DVD. =(
Personally, im trying to keep an open mind about 4, but the 3rd ended so well, & wrapped the movies up perfectly, that ending seems cheapened by having a 4th. Plus, killing off my favorite character was a major mistake... "Saw" wont b "Saw" with out Shawnee...=(
But, who knows? Mayb "Saw IV" will b the best one yet! |

RE: TO PUNCHDRUNK
The original ending was so lame. Sure it was a surprise but it's a stupid surprise. Just something they throw at you in the end. Oh yeah this guy isn't dead but how would you know that cause you can't really see him and it's not like he's moving. I mean how doesn he just sit there the whole time and not breathe or anything? It's not possible for the people in the room not to notice. It's stupid. I'm sick of movies that just come up with an un set up or unexplainable twist to give you at the end. That's not clever... it's retarded. Saw was like a bootlegged horror version of seven with the shitiest acting money could buy. |

RE: RYANCORDERMAN
14 year olds should be at home doing their homework, not at the theaters watching a movie made for adults. Take some time little boy and do some growing up first, okay? |

AWESOME!
ryancorderman Sorry, but no 14 year old needs to be sitting through Saw movies anyways. NC-17? If Iw ere them I wouldn't even edit it. I would LOVE an NC-17 bloodbath that is still intruiging to sit through as my annual Halloween night movie (which, has always been a saw movie. I cannot WAIT. |

RIGHT WING NUT JOBS AT THE MPAA?
Really, I think it's time to put the Right Wing Nut Job conspiracy cliche to rest. I don't know what's worse right wing nut jobs or liberal whiners. |

I'M WITH YA JAMES!
I'm still into the SAW jive, where most movies of it's kind would have dropped in quality over the course of three films, SAW stays pretty fresh and original.
I'm gonna ride the SAW train for as long as they can provide a solid movie experience. |

well that producer is just full of shit...there's absolutely no way that whatever stupid ending they come up w/ for this movie can even come close to the original's ending |
