Saturn Award noms

I love that there is an awards ceremony strictly geared for geeks — the Saturn Awards.

The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films has announced this year’s genre-friendly nominations, and as usual there are some head-scratching inclusions and categorizations (HANCOCK under “Fantasy”? GRAN TORINO as Action/Adventure/Thriller? THE HAPPENING for anything but Best Comedy?).

Still, let’s be thankful we get enough sci-fi/horror/etc. movies each year to even qualify. Here’s a sample of this year’s picks — you can visit the OFFICIAL SITE for the complete and comprehensive list of movie and TV nominees.
