Robinson meets Shrek

Craig pimps out

I can’t say I know much about the goings on of the SHREK franchise. The first one was funny, the second had Banderas doing Puss, but then I just tuned out. Or grew up, if that’s possible… Dreamworks must’ve felt my lack of interest when casting the next one (which one is it now? 4th? 5th?) entitled SHREK FOREVER AFTER.

The newest member of the ongoing fairy tale sendoff is none other than the really funny Craig Robinson, whom I thank Kevin Smith and ZACK & MIRI for putting on my radar. The dude is one to watch among today’s rising comedians, and judging by the increasing number of projects on his plate, I’m not the only one who thinks so.

Talking to the folks of BDK Reviews to promote new comedy THE GOODS, Robinson confirmed his involvement as a character named cookie, joining the returning cast of Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy and Cameron Diaz. Not like all three of ’em are swamped with offers these days… The film comes out to rake in more dough on May 21, 2010.
