Pitt is a Bastard

Well people, it’s all but confirmed. Brad Pitt is set to star as Lieut. Aldo Raine in Quentin Tarantino’s much anticipated WWII epic INGLORIOUS BASTARDS. This movie has been on the lips of every Hollywood insider and their mother for what seems like decades, and rightfully so. Quentin Tarantino is an event director. Brad Pitt is an event actor. And neither have done a WWII epic before. This film has event written all over it.

After weeks of dizzying negations, the film has apparently found a home at Universal Pictures, which will team with Tarantino and his notorious partner-in-crime Harvey Weinstein to finance and distribute the film both domestically and abroad. Unfortunately, it’s not all good news for us glorious bastards, as rumors that Leonardo DiCaprio was being sought to the play the role of Col. Hans Landa appear to be false. Call me a sucker for pretty faces, but it don’t get much better than Leo and Brad sharing the silver screen. But hey, that’s just me.

On a side note, it’s nice to see that Quentin is continuing his trend of reviving the careers of washed up actors. For a second there I was wondering if Brad Pitt would ever make another movie again.
