Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne are feeling Insidious

The past few Halloweens have been torture — ever since director James Wan and collaborator Leigh Whannell launched the undying SAW series so long ago.

The duo returns for more scares with INSIDIOUS, and brings along some top talent for the terror. B-D says that Patrick Wilson (WATCHMEN, LITTLE CHILDREN) and Rose Byrne (SUNSHINE, 28 WEEKS LATER) will star in the horror story, based on an original script by Whannell. Wait, not a remake? That seems weird in today’s climate of repackaged memories…

The story involves a family who discovers that “the body of their comatose boy has become a magnet for malevolent entities, while his consciousness lies trapped in the dark and insidious realm known as The Further.”

The movie is currently filming in Los Angeles, and also includes screen veteran Barbara Hershey (THE ENTITY, BEACHES) in the cast. PARANORMAL ACTIVTY director Oren Peli is one of the producers.
