Yvonne Strahovski is poised to join Shane Black’s The Predator

Apparently, today is all about announcing new cast members to highly-anticipated films. Just two days ago, Shane Black shared the first cast photo from the forthcoming sequel for THE PREDATOR. Now, it's being reported that CHUCK and DEXTER actress Yvonne Strahovski is in final negotiations to join the cast of the rebooted Twentieth Century Fox sci-fi action franchise.

Directed by Shane Black (KISS KISS BANG BANG, IRON MAN 3), THE PREDATOR will feature Strahovski as the mother of Tremblay, a troubled boy who is acidentally pulled into the clash with a race of deadly alien creatures by her ex-husband, played by Boyd Holbrook. The Australian blonde bombshell, Strahovski, will join an eclectic cast of actors that have already been attached to the film, including Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Trevante Rhodes, Thomas Jane, Alfie Allen, Boyd Holbrook, and Olivia Munn

For now, we have no concrete plot details for THE PREDATOR, though I would venture a guess that it will have something to do with a group of humans hoping to survive a vicious and ritualistic Predator hunting party.

Personally, I'm excited to see that Yvonne Strahovski is circling this project. I developed a bit of a screen-crush on her when she appeared on NBC's CHUCK way back when, and she was definitely the best part of the cinematic dumpster fire that was I, FRANKENSTEIN.

We'll be sure to keep you up to date on all the news and announcements concerning THE PREDATOR as it happens, until then, why not check out Strahovski as the voice of Batwoman/Kate Kane in the DC animated film BATMAN: BAD BLOOD, which is available now on digital, DVD, and Blu-Ray formats.

THE PREDATOR arrives to sever spines on February 9, 2018.
