UPDATE: Nick Stahl, star of Terminator 3 and Sin City, is (no longer) missing

UPDATE: ABC News is reporting that Nick Stahl has contacted family and friends via email.  He claims to be OK and will be voluntarily entering a 30 day rehab program.

It is always sad to see actors fall from the spotlight like this, but it is also sad that we come to expect it as well.

It appears that actor Nick Stahl has been reported missing by his wife who suspects it may be related to drug abuse. Stahl is most recognized for playing the adult John Connor in TERMINATOR 3: RISE OF THE MACHINES. He also appeared in SIN CITY, THE THIN RED LINE, DISTURBING BEHAVIOR, and the short-lived HBO series CARNIVALE.

Stahl’s breakthrough role was in Mel Gibson’s 1993 directorial debut THE MAN WITHOUT A FACE. He appeared to be one of those child actors who would successfully transition to adult roles, but this latest news may prove that to be untrue.

His wife last saw him on May 9th and rumors have linked him to the Skid Row area of Los Angeles. Hopefully this story has a better ending than where it appears to be headed.
