New trailer for Sylvester Stallone’s Bullet to the Head is a lot like the last

Well, I wish I could say this new trailer for Sylvester Stallone’s BULLET TO THE HEAD will rock your world and make you see the film in a whole new light, but it’s unlikely that will happen.  However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s the worst thing you’ll see today.  In fact, it’s got a bit more energy than the first trailer.  Don’t expect to see massive amounts of new footage, though.  Walter Hill’s first film in ten years doesn’t look to be what you’d call the perfect comeback vehicle, but does have a lot of boom, smash, bam to at least be a rollicking good time.

Have a look:

I have to admit that after the initial disappointment of the first trailer, this is growing on me.  Having a Walter Hill film back in theaters was a kick ass prospect to me, so perhaps I built myself up too much, but now I’ve settled into the likely snoozer of a story and am now banking on some old-school action.  That should be enough, right?

Here’s the synopsis:  Based on the graphic novel, “Bullet to the Head” tells the story of a New Orleans hitman (Stallone) and a New York City cop who form an alliance to bring down the killers of their respective partners.

BULLET TO THE HEAD, starring Stallone, Sung Kang, Jason Mamoa, Christian Slater, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, and Sarah Shahi, hits theaters on February 1, 2013.
