New Glass trailer cracks open the minds of superhumans

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

M. Night Shyamalan’s GLASS will bring together three unique individuals, each with their own set of powers that make them both dangerous and incredibly strange. The new trailer for the movie unites Bruce Willis’s David Dunn, Samuel L. Jackson’s Elijah Price/Mr. Glass and James McAvoy’s Kevin Wendall Crumb for the epic conclusion to the most unlikely superhero trilogy ever, also comprising UNBREAKABLE and SPLIT. Mr. Glass is cooking something up, and we all get to enjoy it.

We see a bit more of the main characters this time around – as well as Sarah Paulson’s Dr. Ellie Staple and Anya Taylor-Joy’s returning Casey Cooke – which is to be expected for a second trailer. Still, like any Shyamalan movie, there’s plenty of mystery that remains and we’ll have to wait another three months to figure out what that big twist will be. Still, as a standalone outing, the movie looks fascinating and delivers on a mashup of characters we didn’t know we needed until the ending of SPLIT last January. It’s like THE AVENGERS with scary people.

Here is the plot synopsis:

From Unbreakable, Bruce Willis returns as David Dunn as does Samuel L. Jackson as Elijah Price, known also by his pseudonym Mr. Glass. Joining from Split are James McAvoy, reprising his role as Kevin Wendell Crumb and the multiple identities who reside within, and Anya Taylor-Joy as Casey Cooke, the only captive to survive an encounter with The Beast.

Following the conclusion of Split, Glass finds Dunn pursuing Crumb’s superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men.

GLASS hits theaters January 19.
