Mad Men’s John Slattery takes a top secret role on Arrested Development

Guess who is joining ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT?

ROGER MOTHERF*CKING STERLING…aka John Slattery.

I’ve always enjoyed Slattery, but it wasn’t til MAD MEN that I went over the deep end. Roger is hands down my favorite character on the show. My love for that aside, I think it’s amazing that he is joining the cast. What will his role be? Apparently, it’s top secret. No one has any clue. I can’t wait to find out. Really, I’m just excited in general that ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT is returning. What a great show to get discarded like it was. I guess at the time there was really not enough support for it. Now it’s become this cult thing.

In another article on MTV.com, Ron Howard said this about the main characters, ”[Series creator] Mitch [Hurwitz] isn’t trying to recreate something. It’s been away for a while, and part of the fun that Mitch has been mining and exploiting is, what’s new to discover about these people? What’s delightfully unchanged? He and the writing staff and the actors have a fantastic sense of that. They’re pretty brazen, pretty bold and fearless. That’s what made the show into something that fans really kept alive.”

Howard went on to say that the actors were in “great form” and “dying to take the characters further”.

Roger was funny as shit on LSD, and I know will deliver comedy gold on AD. The show starts back up next year on Netflix.
