Live-action Teen Titans series to premiere on DC Digital Service

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

So, we can add yet another digital streaming service to the heap, alongside CBS All Access, HBO Go, Shudder, Crunchyroll, and others I'm sure I'm forgetting. Anyway, it seems DC and Warner Brothers are teaming up to create an exclusive streaming service for DC content, premiering with a live-action TEEN TITANS series from Akiva Goldsman (BATMAN AND ROBIN, unless you forgot) and Greg Berlanti (THE FLASH, ARROW), as well as a revival of the cult-favorite YOUNG JUSTICE cartoon.

Not much information on the TEEN TITANS show – simply titled TITANS – except that it will feature Dick Grayson in the lead role, alongside at least Starfire and Raven. It's unclear which other Titans will join, seeing as how Cyborg will be featured in the JUSTICE LEAGUE film, Kid Flash is on Berlanti's other DC show (three guesses which one), and Beast Boy could be potentially prohibitively expensive (though there was an ANIMORPHS TV show in the '90s, so who knows?) Now, don't get me wrong, just because these characters are in different versions, doesn't mean they can't also be in this one. Remember, Superman is in SUPERGIRL alongside Cavill's film version, and GOTHAM exists alongside the film version of Batman as well. Still, it will be interesting which ones make the cut, regardless.

So what do you think Schmoes? Who would you like to see make the TITANS roster? Any particular deep cuts? Either way, sound off below!

Either way, the DC streaming service – as well as TITANS and the new season of YOUNG JUSTICE – won’t premiere until 2018.
