While it's only been 3 months since the first teaser for STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS has hit, fans have been clamoring for more ever since. A lot of rumors have been floating around over what we might and see and whether or not the original cast will make an appearance (I'd bet on it), but it seems writer/director J.J. Abrams is not too eager to show off the goods given how much time there is between now and the release date. It looks as though Abrams has learned his lesson from the over-hyped STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS, but you can check out some of what the man had to say below.

J.J. Abrams on when we might see the next Star Wars teaser:

We don’t want to be coy but we have almost a year until the movie comes out, so we have to be smart about what we say and when. There’s sort of an abundance of riches with the stuff we could put out so we’re just trying to make sure it’s as good as it could be before we put anything out. The disaster would be to race something out for the sake of making an impact and it being not as good as people deserve.

We've heard that the next FORCE AWAKENS trailer would open in front of AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON and given the Disney connection, it just makes too much sense. Everyone and their mother will be in line to check out what Marvel and Co. has in-store for comic book fans, and what a great opportunity that would be to remind audiences that after the AGE OF ULTRON, there's another story to tell in a galaxy far, far away.

STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS opens on December 18, 2015.
