During Dark Horse's SDCC panel for its Fight Club 2 comic, author Chuck Palahniuk revealed that a Fight Club rock opera is in development. When asked if he'd be open to making a movie based on the comic, and Palahniuk said he knows the project is in the works and that he "doesn’t want to step on anyone’s toes by working on another project of that kind at the same time."
FIGHT CLUB director David Fincher is apparently involved with the rock opera, as well as film (ACROSS THE UNIVERSE, TITUS) and theater (The Lion King, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark) director Julie Taymor. Bleeding Cool is also reporting that Trent Reznor (who provided the scores for Fincher's THE SOCIAL NETWORK, THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO and GONE GIRL) is doing the music for the opera, and that it could debut on Broadway.
Julie Taymor working with David Fincher on a FIGHT CLUB rock opera? You didn’t hear it from me. 🙂 #SDCC

Fight Club: The Musical (or whatever they end up calling it) could work, but I'm not sold that it will actually happen. Would you be interested in going to a Fight Club rock opera?
The next issue of Fight Club 2 will be released on July 22, 2015.
