X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST hits blu-ray/DVD next week and in anticipation of its release we have a cool featurette that explores the making of the film, particularly in merging the casts of both the original trilogy and X-MEN: FIRST CLASS. Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Ellen Page, Michael Fassbender, and screenwriter Simon Kinberg all discuss what it's like making an X-Men film and working with such a tremendous cast and crew.

Take a look:

With a worldwide cume of $746 million and overwhelmingly positive reviews, the latest film in the X-franchise has certainly continued to steer the ship in the right direction. The recent announcement of the DEADPOOL movie going forward and the confirmation that Bryan Singer would be helming the next X-chapter, X-MEN: APOCALYPSE, it feels like Fox has got a handle on their mutant properties (with a TV show being rumored to be on the way as well) and are working diligently to give them the proper big-screen treatment. As a long-time X-Men comic reader, I'm excited to see where they take us.

X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST hits blu-ray/DVD on October 14, 2014 (Preorder HERE). X-MEN: APOCALYPSE is set to open in theateres on May 27, 2016.
