Exclusive: Check out a creepy clip from the Guillermo Del Toro-produced Mama, starring Jessica Chastain

The Guillermo Del Toro-produced horror flick, MAMA, is set to debut this week and today we have an exclusive clip from the film, which introduces you to the feral children of the titular mom.  The film stars Jessica Chastain, who is burning up screens everywhere with her performance in ZERO DARK THIRTY, as well as Nikolaj Costar-Waldau, also known as Jaimie Lannister/The Kingslayer in HBO’s Game of Thrones.  That’s a pretty good bonus for MAMA, which is helmed by first-time director Andres Muschietti

The extended clip is pretty creepy and cool, which may well sway you into theaters if you were still on the fence.  I’m certainly intrigued by the premise and look forward to catching this, if for no other reason than to see the lovely Chastain chew through some more scenery and some Del-Toro inspired scares.

Take a look…but, bring a flashlight:

Here’s the synopsis:

Five years ago, sisters Victoria and Lilly vanished from their suburban neighborhood without a trace. Since then, their Uncle Lucas (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and his girlfriend, Annabel (Jessica Chastain), have been madly searching for them. But when, incredibly, the kids are found alive in a decrepit cabin, the couple wonders if the girls are the only guests they have welcomed into their home.

MAMA, starring Jessica Chastain and Nikolaj Costar-Waldau starts creeping you out on January 18, 2013.

Bonus: Here’s the lovely Chastain looking like a goth redhead of pure awesomeness at the premiere of MAMA last week…click the pic to see more of her!
