Exclusive: Ben Mendelsohn is law and order in Robin Hood clip

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Ben Mendelsohn has proven time and time again why he’s perfect for playing any baddie any movie requires. He’s sadistic, cunning, and would be perfect shouting “I want their head on a spike!” In the new movie ROBIN HOOD, he plays the dastardly Sheriff of Nottingham and wants nothing more than to see the title hero (Taron Egerton) face the long arm of justice. You don't mess with this man when he is in a fit, and in this exclusive clip from the new movie, we get to see just how menacing he can be when he’s officially irked with Friar Tuck (Tim Minchin). Watch out, Arrow Guy, he’s coming for you.

Every hero needs a good villain, and it's tough to find one better at bringing the bad than Mendelsohn. As great as he is in small scenes like this I hope we get to see him involved in the action sequences against the daring Hood. That may mean he has to work on his bow skills, but you don't exactly need to be the best archer when you have an icy stare that can strike fear into the heart of any man.

Here's the synopsis:

Robin of Loxley (Taron Egerton) a war-hardened Crusader and his Moorish commander (Jamie Foxx) mount an audacious revolt against the corrupt English crown in a thrilling action-adventure packed with gritty battlefield exploits, mind-blowing fight choreography, and a timeless romance.

ROBIN HOOD also stars Jamie Foxx, Jamie Dornan and Eve Hewson and is in theaters November 21.
