We've seen a little dealing with Marvel's Daredevil show that hits Netflix on April 10, but it may surprise you to hear that the next in line, A.K.A. Jessica Jones, is also set to hit sometime this year! Furthermore, we have a great bit of casting news regarding a previous Doctor, David Tennant, playing the villainous Kilgrave! Tennant joins Krysten Ritter and Mike Colter, who play Jessica Jones and Luke Cage, respectively.

Marvel states the show will take place after a tragic ending to a short-lived super hero stint and will focus on Jessica Jones rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases involving people with extraordinary abilities in New York City. Kilgrave will serve as an enigmatic figure from Jessica’s past, whose reappearance will send shockwaves through the former super hero’s world. Much like this casting news will send shockwaves to Doctor Who fans, I'm sure. Tennant had a short turn as a villain in HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE, so I look forward to what he can do in Marvel's latest!

The 13-episode series is scheduled to hit Netflix later this year.
