Check out The Way of the Warrior, an animated prequel to Keanu Reeves’ 47 Ronin

Keanu Reeves' epic samurai movie 47 RONIN will hit theaters in less than two weeks, but if you're in the mood for swordplay and dragons now, you can watch this animated prequel, courtesy of CraveOnline. Called THE WAY OF THE WARRIOR, the video features how the ronin ended up without a master, as well as some of their battles with mystical creatures and monsters.

Synopsis:

"From ancient Japan’s most enduring tale, the epic 3D fantasy-adventure 47 Ronin is born. Keanu Reeves leads the cast as Kai, an outcast who joins Oishi (Hiroyuki Sanada), the leader of the 47 outcast samurai. Together they seek vengeance upon the treacherous overlord who killed their master and banished their kind. To restore honor to their homeland, the warriors embark upon a quest that challenges them with a series of trials that would destroy ordinary warriors."

I haven't been that high on 47 RONIN, however I still think it could be a very fun and entertaining film. There are a bunch of great films being released this holiday season, and hopefully Keanu Reeves' latest doesn't get lost in the shuffle.

47 RONIN will be released on December 25th, 2013.
