Marmaduke. The Movie.

Fox is developing a feature film based on the the long-running comic strip “Marmaduke.” In a related story, I quit. I’ll finish writing this article, then I’m gonna pack my things and get outta here. I think the news of a MARMADUKE movie tests the limits of my sanity and quite frankly, I like being sane. Sure insanity might have its moments (this guy’s having a lot more fun at a Best Buy than I’ve ever had) but I enjoy my lucidity.

Fox hasn’t yet decided whether this will be live-action, animated or a mix of both but does it even matter? At least GARFIELD was based off a comic strip that had some funny moments over the years. “Marmaduke” makes “Family Circus” look like “Chappelle’s Show.” It is a black hole of humor. We’ve had BEETHOVEN and MARLEY AND ME – do we really need a MARMADUKE? I know I don’t. Peace out, JoBloers. Catch you on the flip side.
