Over the weekend, Rob Zombie revealed that he’d cast Malcolm McDowell in the pivotal role of Dr. Loomis in his upcoming reimagining of the horror classic HALLOWEEN and he’s recently revealed an even more pivotal casting decision – that of the film’s homicidal murderer star Mike Myers. According to Zombie, via his MySpace blog again, Tyler Mane will be donning the mantle of the infamous masked knife-wielding psycho killer. You may remember Mane as Sabretooth in the X-MEN films or as the all mighty Ajax in TROY. Two roles, it seems, that have prepared him quite well for portraying a non-speaking psychotic monster with a lust for blood. Zombie’s reinvention of the HALLOWEEN franchise is slated for release, at least according to the IMDB, August 31st of next year (though that’s likely to change to say, oh I don’t know, Halloween).
