Jack Goes Boating with Phillip Seymour Hoffman this new trailer and poster

Unless you happened to go to Sundance in January, this will be the first time you see a trailer from JACK GOES BOATING.

This is the directorial debut of one Mr. Philip Seymour Hoffman. He stars in the film as well along side Amy Ryan, John Ortiz, and Daphne Rubin-Vega.

Jack (Hoffman) is a socially awkward guy. His only interactions come from his friend Clyde (Ortiz). In an effort to bring some light into his life, Clyde and his wife Lucy (Rubin-Vega) set Jack up with a gal (Ryan) that rivals his awkwardness. Jack’s hang up is that he must learn to swim before taking the awkward girl on a boat ride. While setting up the match, Clyde and Lucy start to fall apart.

The trailer makes it look interesting, but after reading Chris Bumbray’s review I get the sense that it might fall a little flat. Regardless, I’d still watch it anyway. If you like this, check out a new clip from the film in our videos section.
