Strike Back below!
by: Jonathan Frey Oct. 26, 2006

I don't see why Jim Carrey has any cause to get all twitchy over the titular digits in his upcoming psychological thriller, THE NUMBER 23. I mean, 2 does OK by itself. Provided you don't write it with that unsightly loop at the bottom right corner, it looks pretty damn sleek. I suppose 3 does kind of resemble a big fat ass... oh, no. I just figured it out: the number 23 is a symbol for the inescapable physical effects of aging. Run, Carrey! RUN!

I'm sure the above display of jackassery didn't ruin the movie for you, but, even though they are from a trailer for the film, the screencaps below just might taint your virginity (lord knows we all want to remain taint virgins) so I'm going to go ahead and slap a spoiler warning on them. You may recall that a trailer for THE NUMBER 23 was scheduled to appear in front of prints of TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: THE BEGINNING a couple weeks back. I'm not sure why it never surfaced or if it's that very trailer from which these stills came but, thanks to an anonymous source, you can now enjoy them. THE NUMBER 23 opens February 23rd.

Extra Tidbit: According to the IMDb, there is some sort of car scene AND bathroom scene in almost every one of Jim Carrey's movies

Kick Ass
So Far don't know what to think, but 23 has been my number, Football, Birthday, Mothers Birthday,Basketball number, In my Po box, Old Address, the list goes on and on. Pretty sad, but I want to see it for that reason alone, oh and I guess it's ok that Jim Carrey is in it. Is it just me, or what the hell happened to the funny Jim Carrey? It seems Jim Carrey in Ace Ventura was ages ago, and Re...

Wow. That looks awesome. I mean, Jim Carrey is REALLY not taking the comedy roles.

I'm pretty anxious for this now. Check out pic #15, Carrey's giving off a very Jack Torrance-vibe..

should be ok...i like carrey's non-comedy films, so we'll see about this one.

I'm really liking the visual style of the film. Looks like it could be interesting.
