What is this now? Expendables 2 is a PG-13 film as per Chuck Norris’ request?

Now, now you can’t expect me to write about Chuck Norris without including a fact! So what is it exactly about Chuck Norris that I have to tell you? Well you know the man is in THE EXPENDABLES 2, and he recently conducted an interview where he was asked about it. The video is not in English, however the peeps over at Expendables Premiere managed to get a translation.

Excuse the weird sounding English … “Playing in this movie was a lot of fun. I play a super hero, who saves everybody’s life.” That sounds pretty cool right?

Well this next part isn’t so cool … “In Expendables 2, there was a lot of vulgar dialogue in the screenplay. Fot this reason, many young people wouldn’t be able to watch this. But i don’t play in movies like this. Due to that i said i won’t be a part of that if the hardcore language is not ereased. Producers accepted my conditions and the movie will be classified in the category of PG-13.”

Now wait a second, the original film was balls to the walls hardcore with everything. Are you telling me they were forced to tone it all down for a PG-13 film in order to have Chuck Norris? What does this mean for the film? Is it going to be as badass as the original? How much was compromised? I am not sure I am a fan of this, I understand though that Chuck has his morals and doesn’t want to contradict his beliefs but this is pretty huge. I guess we shall wait and see what the film gets rated by the MPAA, but if it is as what Chuck says, expect a PG-13.

The Expendables are back and this time it’s personal… Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), Yin Yang (Jet Li), Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren), Toll Road (Randy Couture) and Hale Caesar (Terry Crews) — with newest members Billy the Kid (Liam Hemsworth) and Maggie (Yu Nan) aboard — are reunited when Mr. Church (Bruce Willis) enlists the Expendables to take on a seemingly simple job. The task looks like an easy paycheck for Barney and his band of old-school mercenaries.

But when things go wrong and one of their own is viciously killed, the Expendables are compelled to seek revenge in hostile territory where the odds are stacked against them. Hell-bent on payback, the crew cuts a swath of destruction through opposing forces, wreaking havoc and shutting down an unexpected threat in the nick of time — six pounds of weapons-grade plutonium; enough to change the balance of power in the world. But that’s nothing compared to the justice they serve against the villainous adversary who savagely murdered their brother. That is done the Expendables way…
