Universal inks 3 year deal with Insidious & Paranormal Activity producer Jason Blum

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Chances are if you’ve been following AITH for the past year or so you’ll recognize the name Jason Blum. Ringing any bells? How about if I told you he’s the guy that’s produced such flicks as PARANORMAL ACTIVITY, it’s sequel and INSIDIOUS? Now are we getting somewhere? Thought so.

Well today news coming in from Variety has Mr. Blum (right) and his Blumhouse Productions inking a three year first-look deal with Universal. This is pretty much a perfect match seeing how Universal are looking to develop some great horror flicks on the cheap and Jason Blum seems to have a good idea on how to do that.

Now there’s no telling what sort of projects may come from this but I’m sure we’ll be treated to some intriguing stuff. Considering Blum has gotten behind some pretty original stuff I’m definitely excited to see what else he comes up with.

What says you guys? You stoked for this deal or could you care less? Spit some bullets below and let us know what you think as we await more news to come from this deal.
