Teaser poster for Stallone-Schwarzenegger team-up The Tomb hits

We’ve been following the Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger-starring action thriller THE TOMB with eager anticipation. The aging action icons have shown no signs of slowing down as they have been steadily pumping out quality fare lately, with Arnie headlining the awesome actionfest THE LAST STAND and Sly delivering us the goods with BULLET TO THE HEAD (READ THE ARROW’S REVIEW HERE). And we can’t forget the Stallone-led THE EXPENDABLES 2, which saw Arnie getting in a little more screentime and seeing some more action.

As we count down the months, weeks and days until THE TOMB invades theaters on September 27 2013 we can expect to see some heavy marketing coming our way, and today we have our first look at the teaser poster for the flick which you can peep below.

The film follows Ray Breslin (Stallone), the world’s foremost authority on structural security. He’s analyzed nearly every high security prison. After being framed by persons unknown, all of Breslin’s ingenuity and expertise are about to be put to work in the most challenging test he’s ever faced: escaping from a high-tech prison facility that’s design is based on his own protocols.

Schwarzenegger plays Emil Rottmayer,a complex inmate with multiple shades of gray. He’s the guy who fights to keep the prisoners from losing their humanity in their darkest hour as they struggle together to stay alive.

Vincent D’Onofrio, Sam Neill, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Jim Caviezel and Vinnie Jones also appear in this Mikael Håfström-helmed pic. Excited yet? You should be.
