Return to the red room with this Twin Peaks promo

Twin Peaks is on its way! Although this new promo is short and sweet, it heralds a return to the heyday of that sleepy mountain town with its oddball cast of characters. Those who feared this Twin Peaks reboot wouldn't live up to its legacy should just click play, kick back, and relax in the infamous red room. There's no telling which way the show will go, but this is a great sign. Check out the video below!

Widely considered one of the most groundbreaking and influential broadcast series of all time, Twin Peaks followed the inhabitants of a quaint northwestern town who were stunned after their homecoming queen Laura Palmer is shockingly murdered. The town’s sheriff welcomed the help of FBI agent Dale Cooper, who came to town to investigate the case.

As Cooper conducted his search for Laura’s killer, the town’s secrets were gradually exposed. The mystery that ensued set off an eerie chain of events that plunged the inhabitants of Twin Peaks into a darker examination of their very existence. Twenty-five years later, the story continues…

The series is being penned by Lynch and Twin Peaks co-creator Mark Frost. Reportedly, David Lynch is shooting the series as a film, which he will later convert into episodes. Look for Twin Peaks in 2016!
