Mike Vogel & Nestor Carbonell set to patrol “Bates Motel” for A&E

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Fewer and fewer rooms at the “Bates Motel” are vacant…

Two weeks after learning Olivia Cooke and Nicola Peltz had checked into the PSYCHO based A&E series, Deadline now has it that Mike Vogel (seen right) and Nestor Carbonell are also taking residence in “Bates Motel.” As you know, Freddie Highmore and Vera Farmiga (below) play the twisted titular family members.

In the series, Carbonell will play Sheriff Royce Romero, who has something almost sinister about him. Vogel will play Deputy Zach Shelby, described as “a completely engaging, attractive, intelligent sociopath.”

Hmm….some nice shades of grey there.

Also starring Max Thieriot, W. Earl Brown, Richard Harmon and Brittney Wilson:

“Bates Motel” will give viewers an intimate understanding of how Norman Bates’ psyche developed from his childhood through his teen years. Fans will have access to the dark, twisted backstory and learn firsthand how his mother, Norma, and her lover damaged Norman, helping forge the most well-known serial killing motel owner in history.
