One project I’m really looking forward to is the upcoming adaptation of Max Brooks’ popular zombie novel WORLD WAR Z. This thing has been in the works since I can remember, with the last update coming back in April. That was months ago! So what’s the deal yo?!
The guys over at MTV were wondering the same thing so they tracked down Mr. Brooks at Comic-Con and asked him what was going on with the project. Now not only did Max Brooks confirm that Brad Pitt would be starring in WORLD WAR Z, but he also let loose the news that Paramount just snatched up the rights to two more of his novels THE ZOMBIE SURVIVAL GUIDE and THE ZOMBIE SURVIVAL GUIDE: RECORDED ATTACKS! Oh I kid you not folks! Brad Pitt… starring in zombie flick WORLD WAR Z… and two more Max Brooks flicks on the way to boot! Now there’s a nice juicy update for you.
Ten years after the human victory over the world wide Zombie epidemic, referred to as World War Z, an anonymous editor scours the world collecting the stories and experiences of those who have survived the conflict that almost eradicated humanity.
Now it’s actually not that much of a surprise Pitt has signed on considering his Plan B shingle is actually producing WORLD WAR Z. But alas Brooks’ zombie novels are some of the most successful out there so it’s nice to see things are still rolling in regards to getting them onto the big screen.
So what do you guys think? Stoked about this news? Hit us with your thoughts below and keep it here for more on all three projects as we hear it!
