Isla Fisher & Tom Wilkinson join Pegg & Serkis in John Landis’ Burke and Hare

Last Updated on July 26, 2021

Just a couple days ago Eric hit you all with the news that Andy Serkis would be replacing David Tennant in John Landis’ horror/comedy BURKE AND HARE. Well that’s not all the BURKE AND HARE casting info being released this week!

Thanks to The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision blog we just learned that the gorgeous Isla Fisher and the great Tom Wilkinson will be joining Serkis and Simon Pegg in the true story of a pair of the U.K.’s earliest serial killers, William Burke and William Hare, gravediggers who lucratively sold the corpses of their victims to a medical college for dissection. Serkis will be starring as ‘William Hare’ while Pegg suits up as ‘William Burke.’ Fisher (below) will be ‘Pegg’s girlfriend, an actress looking for a patron who might or might not be an accomplice to the murders’ with Wilkinson (above) starring as ‘Dr. Robert Knox, an anatomy lecturer looking for fresh corpses.’

BURKE AND HARE starts shooting on January 31st in Edinburgh and London, Landis’ old stomping ground from 1981’s AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON. This film happens to be the first time John Landis will take the director’s seat in over a decade, so needless to say it’s highly anticipated. What says you guys? Are you stoked for BURKE AND HARE? What about this casting? Are you on board and do you think you’ll be passing on this one? Hit us with your opinions below and keep it here for BURKE AND HARE updates as we hear them!
