This is one we can't get too up in arms about: The POLTERGEIST remake, which has been spookily reticent to show itself to us, has been given a PG-13 rating by the overlords at the MPAA. The first film was rated PG and scared us all out of our wits when we were kids, so this is no big deal.

The new take on the Tobe Hooper-directed, Steven Spielberg-produced classic earned its rating for "intense frightening sequences, brief suggestive material, and some language."

Sam Rockwell, Rosemary Dewitt, Jared Harris, Saxon Sharbino, Nicholas Braun and Jane Adams star in POLTERGEIST, which is produced by Sam Raimi and contemporizes the classic tale about…

a family whose suburban home is invaded by angry spirits. When the terrifying apparitions escalate their attacks and take the youngest daughter, the family must come together to rescue her.

The film comes out July 24, 2015 (though it had originally been slated for a February 13th release).
