Way back at the beginning of the year I told you about an intriguing little thriller heading our way from Mexico’s Canana banner. You guys remember that? The flick was coming at us from helmer Makinov and was called CHILD’S PLAY. Nothing? Well let me refresh your memory.
The flick is a remake based on the 1970s thriller WHO CAN KILL A CHILD? and reads a little something like this:
A husband and his pregnant wife travel to Mexico for some quiet, only to be attacked by maniacal children.
Simple enough, right? Well news coming our way today has CHILD’S PLAY gearing up to hit the Toronto International Film Festival next month and we’ve got a couple new stills from the flick to celebrate! Actually if I’m not mistaken these are the first two stills from the film to find their way online. You can go ahead and tap those above and below.
But that’s not all! We’ve also learned that Makinov and company have dropped the title CHILD’S PLAY and are now dubbing the flick COME OUT AND PLAY. Considering that’s a hell of a lot creepier I’m digging it.
Ebon Moss, Daniel Gimenez Cacho and Vinessa Shaw (below) all star in the film. The Toronto International Film Festival kicks off on September 6th and lasts through the 16th so I’m sure more COME OUT AND PLAY goods will be coming our way soon.
