Helena terminates! Jul. 3, 2008
Source: Hollywood Reporter
by: Mike Sampson

UPDATE - Just got word earlier this morning that it's a done deal and Helena Bonham Carter will be filming are very substantial (in importance not necessarily in size) part in TERMINATOR SALVATION. The character is not Sarah Connor, as speculated below, but someone named "Serena." Hmmm.....

Could Helena Bonham Carter be joining in to help battle cybernetic organisms in the upcoming TERMINATOR film? The Hollywood Reporter says this morning that Carter is in talks with Warner Bros. to join TERMINATOR SALVATION: THE FUTURE BEGINS in a "small but pivotal" role. What that role is, I haven't the slightest idea but I'd love the idea of Helena Bonham Carter playing a Terminator herself (though I suspect she's playing some incarnation of Sarah Connor). The good news, we have an first-hand opportunity to further investigate this scoop but to say more about that would be spoiling the fun. You'll just have to wait and see! Filming on TERMINATOR SALVATION is underway in New Mexico with Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, Anton Yelchin, Moon Bloodgood, Bryce Dallas Howard and Common all starring. Luckily we won't have to wait long for word on what the film looks like - a teaser trailer with actual footage will be attached to prints of THE DARK KNIGHT.

Extra Tidbit: Carter once starred as a doctor on "Miami Vice."

Why the hell do I have to log in every time I post? Its annoying to type in 3 paragraphs only to have it erased because it says I wasnt logged in, even though I was. Anyways. I love all Terminator movies, even T3 and SCC, even though the dates are fucked up in both. It gives me a headache to the point I actually googled "terminator Timeline". I got a nifty site that does its best to sort it all out (even comics too) and it sort of helped but it still makes no sense. This great cast gives me faith that it will be a decent action flick. Oh and Helena looks great there. I like when she looks normal without all the excess makeup she seems to ALWAYS wear in EVERY single role she plays. Take a hint hun...

CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS...OH YEAH THEY WANT IT PG-13!
I think she is great in just about all she does & it's nice to see her in a movie that isn't directed by her EX? Tim Burton. This movie couldn't have gotten a better lead in reigning Batman Christian Bale that is for sure. It's even better that they signed him for a 3 picture deal as well (if I remember right) I just hope the new Terminator's are something we can watch for years to come. I just loved that the "Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles" didn't suck! In fact it is good, not great (yet) but can't wait for the new season. Don't think I'm the only one either. I'm usually the 1st to say stop with unnecessary & ridiculous ("Prom Night") sequels & remakes. Can't wait for the movie'ssss & for the series to return.

How can people who like the first two movies like T3 and not SCC? SCC gets it's dates wrong but it pays tribute to the first two films while T3 spat in T2's face.

In the T2 book series there is a more humanlike terminator named Serena. Could be a coincidence, but who knows?

Check it out under my profile, Mutant Chronicles Teaser Trailer, TF2 poster, Hellboy on Inside the Actors Studio and more.

As for Helena I agree that she does do the same character always; as for the terminator flick I always liked the concept of them so I'll check it out. I'd rather it have good actors than bad ones.
