Harold & Kumar 2 starts

Production has started in Lousiana on the sequel to the successful stoner comedy HAROLD AND KUMAR GO TO WHITE CASTLE. Joining John Cho and Kal Penn in the sequel are David Krumholtz, Neil Patrick Harris, Rob Corddry, Christopher Meloni, Ed Helms, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Paula Garces, Jack Conley, Roger Bart, Danneel Harris and Eric Winter. The film follows Harold and Kumar as they head to Amsterdam to track down Maria (Garces, pictured to the right), the love of Harold’s life. On the way, Kumar gets mistaken for a terrorist, they wind up at Gitmo and encounter “wackos, jerks and whores.” That last part kinda sounds like a JoBlo.com party. Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, who grew up in my backyard here in Jersey, will make their feature directing debut based on their own script. New Line will again release the film and there’s no word yet on when it might hit theaters.
