ITS A SHAME
I was really disappointed that Speed Racer didn't do better. I agree in that Fox played his character the best, to the fact where it was almost believable in this purposely unbelievable movie. I just hope Fox can find a way to break free of Jack Shephard persona and have a chance to expand as an actor, since he is a very good one. Though seeing him in a comedy...interesting. |

In Alan Moore's argument, I think it has more to do with the fact that it is hard for most comics to be translated properly to the big screen. He's most likely against the butchering of his works, since it was prevalent with most of the comic movies of the past (and present...DareDevil, XMen 3, Fantastic 4 ...). |

BY THE WAY
In Knocked Up's commentary, Seth mentions that he is a huge Mathew Fox fan and that they have the characters make fun of him to appear like even more of a jackass... Just a random fact! |

To be fair, Alan Moore has been quite vocal in his disdain for comics-to-film adaptations, at least with regard to his work. But he does strike me as a minority voice there. |

ITS SEEMS LIKE
comics r developed for movies in mind...because they are! stories like wanted are made with the goal of being on the big screen. they just go to comicpages first for the street cred.
and i like fox i think its interesting that he slides into these tv roles so well that after a few years he has to "shed" these images. He had to do it on whatever show that was he was on in the 90s (i wasnt a fan) and now with lost. |

In regards to your tidbit...maybe Apatow should hire him for his next. It worked with the Eric Bana joke. |
