 Considering the billions in hard currency generated by the SPIDER-MAN movie trilogy, obviously Sony wants another one in theaters as soon as possible. And while a 2011 release has been kicked around, there is still no director or cast officially committed.
But that doesn't mean you can't bid on a chance to be in this theoretical movie! There's an auction now up on ebay (in the name of a cancer charity, although it appears legitimately tied to Sony) that will let the winning bidder visit the set, make a walk-on appearance, meet the cast, go to the red carpet premiere, and even get some snazzy new duds! Not a bad package, especially since SPIDER-MAN 4 remains a vapormovie at the moment. But perhaps this means an official announcement is pending. If not, there's going to be one seriously disappointed (but deep-pocketed) winner.

Any bets on the next movie's main villain? I'd love to see Lizard, Rhino and Vulture... all being hunted by Kraven.

As for villains considering Dr. Curt Conners has been in every movie you gotta have Lizard..& perhaps Vulture as well..no reboots nedeed anymore...with comic films i think the standars nowadays should be a trilogy and nothing more becuz you simply cant please everyone hence the mistakes of X3 and Spidey 3..lets hope they do it right for Iron Man sequels and future Marvel properties. |

Hey guess what? There are waaaay more superhero films that are WORSE than Spidey 3 then there are that are better. I'm not saying its one of the best, far from it. I'm simply saying people have a disproportionate amount of hate toward it because of how good the first two were.
Oh, and as for villains I'd go for THe Lizard natch, and Mysterio if they include a second (Kraven is cool in the comics but I just don't think he'd be that impressive on screen). |

I had fun with Spiderman 3 as well. It had its share of flaws, but it wasn't absolutely horrible IMO. For what it was and what they were trying to do with their story (yes, "their story"since it's been apparent from the 1st film they weren't trying to be faithful to the comics) it worked well enough.
That being said, if they decide to 'reboot' with a 4th movie I'd be cool with it. Heck, even if they scrapped the entire cast I wouldn't complain. But if they absolutely have to keep Tobey, just don't give him any crying scenes. Ever. The guy can't do them, period. |
